| Description: | Counterpoint Chamber Choir will be performing a Christmas Concert at St. Mary’s Anglican Church Maitland on the afternoon of Sunday 7 December 2025, commencing at 2:00pm. Counterpoint Christmas Concerts have regularly included audience participation, and those attending will be invited to sing along in a selection of well-known Christmas carols. To complete the concert, a full program of Christmas carols and songs from the Counterpoint repertoire will be presented to get the audience into the mood for the festive season. We will also be welcoming a mixed student ensemble from Newcastle Waldorf School at Glendale, with participants from Year 6 to Year 12. Some of the students will be accompanying several of our choral pieces, and the group will be performing Mozart's String Quartet No 4 in C during the concert. Elaine Barnes will be guest conductor, several choir members will provide accompaniment at the piano, and Linda Alford will be accompanying us on double bass for a number of the choral items. We will also welcome Barbara Slade on the organ to accompany several of the audience carols. Counterpoint looks forward to presenting its Christmas concert at St. Mary's Maitland and welcoming you to the event. |
